With these introductions come lavish ceremonies, complete with designers explaining the motivation behind their creations. Three of the biggest shoe companies are Addidas, Reebok, and Nike. Nike is a huge shoe maker, and they sell a wide range of shoes for all different types of activities. Nike shoes and other merchandise become hugely popular in the 1990′s with the introduction of their Air Jordan line of basketball shoes. After these shoes, Nike began many sponsorships with famous athletes, making their swoosh logo recognizable all over the world.
You might also want to take a look at the Addidas company, a German owned company which makes some popular types of shoe. Addidas is probably most famous for its soccer shoes which feature a black design with diagonal stripes. These shoes are worn not only by soccer players, but also by people looking for a nice, casual pair of shoes to wear around. Addidas is consistently rated high in surveys for customer satisfaction, and their shoes are very comfortable.
The Reebok company is another one to check out. Owned by the same company which owns Addidas, Reebok markets to a different audience. One of its most popular new offerings is a toning shoe called the Reebok Easytone. This shoe is marketed to help you burn calories by using a special sole which keeps you slightly off balance.
